Nychogomphus duaricus

This was Onychogomphus duaricus Fraser, 1924, but after Carle, 1986 reassessed the genus it was changed. It was found in the Chitwan buffer zone near the Bhudi Rapti River. A female was nearby but the photo is not very good. The habitat is near running water. They are usually found later in the season after the monsoon. Distribution is from NW India, NE India, plus Bangladesh, Laos, and Vietnam (Mekong River).
